Albert Camilli Obituary

Albert J. "Firmly" Camilli, 88, of Temple, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023. Born on March 7, 1935, he was a son to the late Anthony T. and Lucy (Protopapa) Camilli. Albert was a 1952 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Albright graduating in 1956. While attending Albright, Albert won 1st prize in a talent show for his amazing singing voice. Albert worked as a mushroom grower in the 70's and later as an Insurance Agent for many years; He also started Camilli Insurance Agency where he worked alongside his daughter, Lisa. He was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Church. Albert was an active member of the St. Marco Society and served as the Secretary for 35 years. He also held memberships at Temple Fire Company, Victor Emmanuel II, Northmont Fellowship Association, Berks FOP Lodge 71 Club, and the West Lawn Quoting Club. Albert is survived by his children, Lisa A. Camilli and Steven J. Camilli. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Megan M. Saniscalchi, Kyra L. Camilli, and Alex M. Camilli. In addition to his parents, Albert was predeceased by his siblings, Anthony K. Camilli, Mary Moll, and Eleanor Medaglia, as well as one granddaughter, Molly E. McKinney. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, September 20, 2023, from 5:00 pm â€" 7:00 pm and Thursday, September 21, 2023, from 9:00 am â€" 10:00 am in the Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 10:30 am in Holy Guardian Angels Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading. The burial will take place in Gethsemane Cemetery. Flowers are accepted, however, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Albert's name may be made to the St. Marco Society, 4945 Commerce Street, Temple, PA 19560. Milkins Trymbiski Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
