Angela Ruth Morelli

Angela Ruth (Curran) Morelli lived her 80 years on earth with passion, zest, and a sense of adventure. She passed away on May 13, 2023 after sharing 54 wonderful years with the love of her life, the late John A. Morelli.Ruth resided in Wyomissing, PA and Madeira Beach, FL. Ruth was devoted to her son, John Morelli and his late wife Elizabeth Kase Morelli, her daughter, Lisa Morelli and her husband Chris Middleton. Known as Grammy and Mom-Mom, she adored her five grandchildren, Abby, Kate, Matthew, Emma and Lila, and enjoyed every moment spent with them. Born in Newark, New Jersey, Ruth was the daughter of the late Alfonse and Angela Curran and baby sister to Catherine Curran Scholz, the late Mary Curran Nash, and the late Jack Curran. She attended the all-girls St. Vincent Academy where she sometimes exasperated the Sisters of Charity, and later earned her B.A. from Kean College while working full-time and raising her family. Ruth worked in various roles in the public sector including at the N.J. Department of Community Affairs and the N.J. Victim of Crime Compensation Office and also as a corporate recruiter in the private sector. Ruth was an energetic and vivacious person who loved playing tennis, golf, bridge and board games. She adored gardening, puzzles, travel, and red wine, and was a fiercely loyal friend, a selfless caregiver, and the life of the party. A Celebration of Life is being planned to reminisce about all the shenanigans Ruth got into in this lifetime and to remember her playful, mischievous, and loving spirit.
