Born in Evansville, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Marie (Hull) Shewchuk.
She had been employed by Berkshire Knitting Mills; was an inspector for Western Electric Co.; and lastly was a trimmer for Fleetwood Shirt Factory, until her retirement.
She was a 1931 graduate of Ontelaunee Vocational School.
She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Muhlenberg Township.
She also was a life member of the Blandon Lioness Club.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph M., husband of Barbara Gyomber, Leesport; and Nicholas A., husband of Gerry Gyomber, Sinking Spring; and a daughter, Johanna M., wife of Robert P. Hoffman II, Reading.
There are eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great- great-grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Friends may call Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in Milkins Funeral Home Inc., 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple.
