Barbara K. Giarrizzi

Barbara K. Giarrizzi, 89, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in the care of Gulf Coast Hospital. She was born in Reading to the late Martin L. and Laura E. (Obenhausen) Henne. She graduated from Reading High School, class of 1951. Barbara was employed by Wetherhold & Metzger Shoe Company and later by the Feel Fine fashion store until retirement. Barbara met the love of her life, Joseph Giarrizzi, while she worked at Wetherhold & Metzger. They married in 1978 and resided in Devon, PA. They moved to Fort Myers in 1991. Barbara was a member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church, Fort Myers, Florida. In addition to her loving husband Joe, Barbara is survived by her sister Laura Henne (Robert) Trewella, Reading and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by siblings Marie Bucher, Donald (Nancy) Henne, Martha Tobias and David (Eleanor) Henne. A graveside service at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Springs, PA, will be held at a later date.
