Jennifer and family, I am deeply saddened by Brians passing. I worked with him on waterfront at Barstow and in the OA lodge. He was such a great role model, mentor and friend. He affected so many people in such positive ways! I can truly say that the world is now a lesser place in his absence. I pray for your strength in these most trying of times. No one could ask for a better Angel to watch over us the rest of our time here on earth. Thank you for the good times, all the laughs, fellowship in scouting, life lessons and friendship... brother--God speed Brian Evans

Sincerely, Matt Mayer

Jennifer and Evans family,
I had the pleasure to meet Brian in 1996-97 when he worked on staff at Camp
Barstow. He always went out of his way
to accommodate us during our week at
camp. His pleasant, natural, smile
stood out along with his great personality. I was extremely impressed with his leadership skills as Lodge Chief for the Order of the Arrow. Brian truly set the bar high for younger scouts to follow; he was role
model and exemplified everything that
scouting stands for: character, leadership, and making a difference in
the scouting program. He will be truly
missed. Jennifer, I will keep Brian and
your family in my prayers. May God
give you peace and comfort that only he
can provide.
