Carmelo Carrasquillo Obituary
He was the husband of Juana (Vargas) Carrasquillo.
Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Luis Nazarrio and Jesusa Carrasquillo.
He last worked 24 years for Wernersville State Hospital, retiring in 1992.
He was an active member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading. He loved to spend time doing word finds and playing dominos.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Manuel Vargas; and a daughter, Maria (Serrano) Candelaria.
There are also five grandchildren: Jazmin, Jeremy, Aliyah Vargas and Jarelie and Bo Candelaria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter's RC Church. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. Friends may call tonight 6 to 8 and Thursday 8 to 9 a.m. in the Henninger Funeral Home Inc., 229 N. Fifth St., Reading. www.henningerfuneralhome.com
