Charles Wildermuth

Charles A. “Charlie” Wildermuth, 74, of Fleetwood, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at his home. Born October 10, 1946 in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Charles A. Wildermuth Sr. and Catherine Wildermuth-Bodenhorn. He and the love of his life, Sandra J. (Buch) Wildermuth, were married on March 30, 1968 in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Fleetwood. Charlie was a lineman for 35 years for Met-Ed, working at the Muhlenberg Twp location. He was a longtime member of St. Paul’s UCC Church, Fleetwood, where he also served on consistory, was an elder, and a deacon. He was a member of the Huguenot Lodge No. 377, F & AM, Kutztown and the Valley of Reading AASR, West Reading. Charlie was a 1964 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and attended Bloomsburg University. He enjoyed “discussing” politics, doing electrical work and especially reading. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife, Sandi, are his children, Heather P. (Wildermuth) Watkins, wife of John C. Watkins, Richmond Twp, and Charles A. Wildermuth, III, Fleetwood. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Charles A. Wildermuth, IV, Alexandra M. Watkins, Jacob A. Wildermuth, and Evan W. Watkins, and by several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his sister, Alice. Memorial Services for Charlie will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s UCC Church, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood. A visitation will be held Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the church. Donations may be made in Charlie’s memory to St. Paul’s UCC Church, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, PA 19522.
