David Stoltzfus Allgyer

1929 - 2022

David Stoltzfus Allgyer, 92, formerly of Kutztown Borough, died June 30, 2022 in his daughter’s Greenwich Township residence. He was the widower of Hazel Virginia (Rutherford) Allgyer. Born in his Salisbury, Lancaster County residence on November 23, 1929, he was a son of the late David G., and Susie L. (Stoltzfus) Allgyer. David was an auctioneer for 40 years and was the owner/operator of David S. Allgyer Auctioneer. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the 3rd Armored Division as a Sgt. Tank Crewman. David is survived by three daughters: Barbara J., wife of Michael L. Boyer of Greenwich Township; Mary S. Hoch of Florence, South Carolina; and Jodi M., wife of Michael E. Blatt of Kutztown. Other survivors include 6 grandchildren: Lisa, Heather, Jackie, Jonathan, Tina, and Evan and 8 great grandchildren: Hunter, Donald, Chalisse, Wyatt, Mason, Madison, Madeline, and Achaia. David was one of twelve children: Rebecca, Jacob, John, LeRoy, Elam, Emma, Melvin, Chris, Abner, and Lavina. Services will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Frienden’s Cemetery, Oley.
