David VanEvery Obituary


David E. VanEvery, 70, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, February 4th, suddenly, in a motor vehicle accident in Cumberland County.

David was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 30, 1943, a son of the late Agnes T. (Geltch) and Lewis F. VanEvery.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War, and was employed as a truck driver at Boscov's Transportation, Reading, PA, for 20 years.

He loved his family and especially loved watching NASCAR and the Eagles with his sons. He was a fantastic truck driver.

The husband of Leslie L (Zeigler) VanEvery, who survives him, he is also survived by 1 daughter, Lori L., wife of Zach Vignochi, of Shoemakersville, PA; and 5 sons: David M. VanEvery of Leesport, Florida; Tory J. Baer of Reading, PA; Judd J. Baer of Robesonia, PA; Rafe J., husband of Carolyn Baer, of Sinking Spring, PA; and Ross J., husband of Kathleen M. Baer, of Reading, PA.

He is also survived by a brother, Gerald A. VanEvery of Plymouth Meeting, PA, and 3 grandchildren: Logan Gross, Dylan Hinnershitz, and Anique Baer.

Family eulogy at Feeney Funeral Home, Reading, PA at 8 PM on Monday, February 10th, which will be web-broadcast at our website shown below. Friends and relatives are invited to call Monday 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 131, 50 Longview Road, Boyertown, PA 18512.
