Born in Berkshire Heights, he was a son of the late Edwin and Carie (Long) Fox.
Donald last worked as a clerk at the Elverson Post Office for 30 years, retiring in 1991. He previously served for 20 years in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Albany, USS Macon, and USS Wister. He last served on the USS Waldrin until his retirement in 1967.
He was a life member of the Stony Creek VFW Post 8993.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen L., wife of Kerry K. Delewski, Reinholds; son, Douglas E., husband of Vanessa H. Fox, Sinking Spring; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m. at the Auman Funeral Homes, Reiffton. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Donald's name to the American Cancer Society, 498 Belleview Ave., Reading, PA 19605. Auman Funeral Homes, Reiffton, is in charge of the arrangements. www.aumansinc.com

My condolences to the Fox family. Donald Fox was an employee of mine from 1970 thru 1976 at the Elverson post office. He was a dedicated worker and a friend. He will be missed. Robert C. Frymoyer, Postmaster retired
