Edgar M. Ewing Jr.
Edgar M. Ewing Jr., 78, of Fleetwood, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of Joanne (Ritz) Ewing and they shared 44 years of marriage together.  Edgar was the son of the late Edgar M. and Alice (Arnold) Ewing. He was a 1961 graduate of the Fishburne Military Academy and 1965 Bloomsburg State College graduate with a concentration in History. He was a history teacher at Oley Valley High School and retired in 2000. He spent much of his time as a history lover and was a former member of The First Defenders Civil War Round Table. Surviving Edgar is a son: Thomas, husband of Leann Ewing and a granddaughter: Sydney Ewing. A sister, Donna Jean, wife of the late Lloyd Van Gorden of New Providence, PA. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and loved his dogs: Casey, Clancy, Murphy, Kelly and Finnegan. The services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Mr. Ewing was a good man and a awesome teacher. I still remember his reenactments of the civil war in his room. My condolences to his entire family.
