Edna Hottel

1926 - 2021

Edna R. (Lee) Hottel, 95, formerly of Oley Valley, PA, passed away in Fellowship Community, Whitehall, PA on Sunday, September 19, 2021. She was the beloved wife for 25 years to Rev. Winfred B. Hottel who went home to be with their Lord in 1972. Born February 22, 1926, in Reading, PA, Edna was the fourth child of ten of the late John J. and Edith E. (Hiester) Lee. She was a 1943 graduate of Reading High School. Edna worked beside her husband as he pastored the following Bible Fellowship churches; Binghamton NY; Stroudsburg,PA; Philadelphia Emmanuel, PA; Philadelphia Calvary Wissinoming, PA; Mt. Carmel, PA; Terre Hill, PA. Edna was excellent in children’s ministries and showed hospitality and love to all. She loved walking and reading books. Besides her loving husband she was predeceased by her siblings; Dorothy (Lee) Wetzel, Naomi (Lee) Bailey, Mildred Lee Forehand, Robert E. Lee, Lenora (Lee) Ettinger, Richard H. Lee, and survived by Harold J. Lee, Mary Jane (Lee) Muthard, and Virginia (Lee) Meyer. Edna is survived by her daughter, Darlene, wife of Jonathan D. Reynolds, of Zionsville, PA, and son, David L. Hottel, husband of Diane L. (Harris) of Oley, PA; grandchildren, Michelle. Desiree, Deanne and Brian; and great grandchildren Noah, Brendan, Kyler, David, Elizabeth, Jace, Parker, and Adalyn. There will be a Private family Interment at Laureldale Cemetery. A Memorial service will be held at Trinity Bible Fellowship Church at 220 Main Street Blandon, PA 19510 on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 3:00pm. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00pm-3:00pm.
