Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Elsie (Schubert) Komlodi.
Eleanor graduated from Reading High School in 1945, had a bachelor's degree in accounting from Temple University and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church,
Audubon, for 47 years and recently transferred to Zion
Lutheran Church, Leola.
Eleanor worked as a business manager for The Lutheran magazine and was a devoted wife and mother.
In addition to her husband, Eleanor is survived by one son, David III, husband of Maria Bertucci, of Philadelphia; and three daughters: Deborah Volker, of York; Diana Hughes, wife of Glenn, of Lancaster; and Julia Gustafson, wife of Grant, of Long Beach, Calif. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one brother, Edmund.
She is predeceased by one daughter, Eileen; and one brother, Peter.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. with services beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Lutz Funeral Home Inc., 2100 Perkiomen Ave., Reading, PA 19606. Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
Flowers are appreciated or donations in Eleanor's name can be made to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19104.
