George Shade Obituary
George L. Shade Jr., 62, of Sinking Spring, passed away Sunday, April 14th, 2019, at Manor Care Health Services, Sinking Spring.
George was born in Portsmouth, Va., on April 7, 1957, a son of Mary (Skippus) and George L. Shade Sr., of Hyde Park; and was the husband of Kimberly A. (Isett) Shade, of Womelsdorf.
He worked in the maintenance department for Reading Area Community College and Muhlenberg School District, and previously operated Shade's Aquatics.
George is survived by his daughter, Niki Traynor, of
Wernersville; two sons, Jonathon, husband of Amy Shade, of Newmanstown, Joshua Shade, of Womelsdorf; and brother, Max, husband of Lorraine Shade, of West Reading. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Jaylyn, Evan,
Samuel and Lucas.
Memorial service will be Thursday, April 18th, at 6 p.m. at the John P. Feeney Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
