We were all so very shocked and sorry to hear of Gerry's untimely death. She was always a very nice and thoughtful person/neighbor growing up, as well as being a faithful daughter and great role model for how to care for aging parents. She had many talents which she put to good use both in her nursing career and volunteer activities, and though her time here was cut short, she managed to use it wisely and leave her mark on her corner of the world. Our sincere condolences to Karen, Rob, John, Bruce, and the rest of Gerry's family and friends. Your loss is heaven's gain, and we're sure Bob and Mary are thrilled to have her with them again.

To family, friends and loved ones, Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences (RHSHS) Nursing Program (formerly Reading Hospital School of Nursing) offers condolences for your loss. We are grateful for Geri's service to her community and we know that her presence will be missed by many. Geri Essick was a pillar of Reading Hospital for many years and not only provided excellent nursing care to patients, but also mentored generations of nurses. Her leadership impacted so many lives, and the effect of her work will continue to influence healthcare in our community for generations to come. We share in your sadness and express our deepest sympathy to family, friends, and loved ones. A great nurse (angels without wings) a kind person and now an angel with wings.
