Gertrude Marks Obituary


Gertrude "Trudy" M. Marks, 58, Middletown, died Dec. 7, 2010, of natural causes in the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Carl E. and Jennie A. (Mease) Marks.

Trudy was a graduate of Conrad Weiser High School and the Reading Hospital School of Nursing LPN program.

She is survived by a daughter, Kristin A., wife of Rob Mulkerin, Middletown; two brothers, Carl E. Marks Jr., husband of Cindy, Sinking Spring; and Paul D. Marks, husband of Lori, Sinking Spring; a brother-in-law, Keith H. Mountz, widower of Beverly A. Mountz, Robesonia; several nieces and newphews, great-nieces and a great-nephew.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville, with the Rev. William Weiser officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Hershey, 745 W. Governor Road, Hershey, PA 17033-2304. Online condolences may be made at www.lammandwitman.com.

Kristin and family, I am sorry for your loss. Trudy and I worked together when she was a new LPN at Reading Hospital. We had many happy times together working with the patients on G2. I was to your parents wedding and stayed in touch for many years. I am sorry I had not seen her for several years. I pray she was not suffering. Love, Carol Kerstetter
