James Gladfelter Obituary
James G. "Jimmy" Gladfelter, 30, of Womelsdorf, passed away in the evening hours Wednesday, July 30, 2014.
He was the husband of Amber L. Gladfelter. He was born in Hershey August 5, 1983.
A 2002 graduate of ELCO School District, Jimmy was an IT specialist for Eagles Peak Animal Clinic.
Jimmy was devoted to his family, his Harley Davidson, and loved motorcycles and all those that rode them. He was always there to help anyone.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Skyler Gladfelter; his parents, Dr. Sherbyn W. and Dianne K. Ostrich; his siblings: Lisa, wife of Chuck Behrens; Susan Gladfelter; Ann Marie, wife of Todd Pietrobono; and Michael Ostrich, husband of Sarah; Sheryl Ostrich, wife of Karlin Hanlon; Janelle Ostrich, wife of Tom Jander; and Jason Ostrich; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, August 5, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. at the Mull Funeral Home, 27 E. High St., Womelsdorf, PA 19567.

Jimmy, I'll miss you. It is a shame that we really haven't seen each other since high school but regardless, you will be missed. You were always friendly, even uplifting in the bad moments. Jimmy Gladfelter what crosses our minds when we here your name respectful, polite, kind, funny, just to name a few remembering Jimmy as a child growing up in school with my children these are the things I remember about him I haven't seen him in years but when I heard of his passing my heart broke to Jimmy 's family we are so deeply sorry for your loss this world lost a great guy and heaven received him forever in our hearts we will never forget you Jimmy we will see you again someday looking forward to seeing your beautiful smile

I remember Jimmy as a young student at Fort Zeller Elementary School and then as a tech in his dad's veterinarian office! He had grown into such a wonderful young man...caring and compassion were just part of who he was. My mother in law remembers with fondness the the way Jimmy cared for her Scottie dog, Molly, dying of cancer in her final hours. Little did I know he had married the daughter of high school friends and that his father had roomed with my father in college. It truly is a small world in which we live in.
My deepest sympathies to the family of Jimmy...a truly remarkable young man. May we always remember the example with which he lived his life: each day with courage to be who he was, with happiness in his heart, with love and caring for his family and friends and all whom he touched in his life.

Jimmy . . . what an amazing student you were in my television production classes at Elco High School. I remember your willingness and dedication both in front and behind the cameras. A teacher could not have asked for a better student to cross his path. I was so glad you auditioned for the fall play in 1999 and was cast as the hyper-active son and you brought the house down rolling with laughter with your antics on stage. It seems like yesterday. I still have the cast photo everyone gave me closing night still on the shelf in my classroom. Safe journey to heaven, Jimmy . . . may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

Jimmy has been our neighbor for 7+ years now. . . I can't even count the numerous times he so kindly helped us out with car troubles, getting locked out of the house, eggs, paper towels, Internet service, lawn equipment, and so on. He and his wife have always been so kind and I trusted him completely with my kids. My youngest son and his son Sky have been best friends for YEARS now. Jimmy is held high on a pedestal by my youngest son, as he's been one of the few male figures he's had in his life. I'd like to take the time to say to Jimmy, THANK YOU! Thank you for giving my son the male attention he needed. He loves you and is devastated that you'll no longer be here for him and Skylar. I'd like to send my deepest condolences to Amber, Skylar, and of course Jimmy's family. If WE'RE this sad over his loss, I can only imagine your pain and heartache. Just know he's not gone completely. . . He's very much ALIVE in Skylar, and even more ALIVE in all of our hearts! ! Rest easy Jimmy, and Happy Birthday my friend!!! <3

Im still in disbelief that your gone. I feel as if I have to see u pass on ur harley with skylar. Or I have to see ur funny comic posts on fb. You always visited to hear my crazy stories, now your story outdoes mine. You have touched so many lives in ur short time. I can only hope to be half the person you were. Jimmy was a very good friend of mine. He always had my back & he was always there for me. My thoughts & Prayers go out to his whole family & all his friends. I miss his voice & his laugh & his smile.
