Jason was born in Philadelphia, on September 4, 1981, son to the late Eugene T. Pompilio and the late Trudy A. Pompilio.
With no surviving blood relatives, Angela's family had become Jason's family. He is therefore survived by two sets of loving parents: David and Ruth ann Helwig, and Robert and Christine Behm.
Jason was a graduate of La Salle University, where he earned his M.A. in Clinical Psychology in 2009.
Jason was employed as a Licensed Professional Counselor at Psychology & Counseling Associates in Pottstown, Center for Allied Psychiatry & Psychology Services also in Pottstown, and was Clinical Director of French Creek Counseling LLC, a private practice he proudly owned and operated in French Creek. Jason devoted most of his time to his patients.
Jason was utterly unique. He was devoutly loyal, overwhelmingly compassionate and incomparably generous. He honed his incredible gifts of empathic ability and physical prowess, to be ever ready to help whoever crossed his path that was in need, human and nonhuman alike.
A Celebration of Life ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 4, at 2:00 p.m., in the Fellowship Hall of Immanuel United Church of Christ, 99 South Waverly Street, Shillington, PA 19607.

To Jason's family and friends: I was Jason's professor at La Salle U. when he took the Career Counseling course. He was such a fine young man, and I knew he would make an excellent counselor. He will be missed. Please accept my sincere sympathy.
