I would like to thank everyone who wrote in this book, it shows how special my son was. Thank you to my friend Jeannie opening this book for me.
To my son, wow the hurt does not go away, thank you for 23 wonderful years, I have spoken to you 4 times through Alicia and I am coming again next month. I know you will be there, we still have so much to say to eachother. I did not only loose my son I lost my best friend, but you know that. You were right my heart is still broken, you made me feel so good when you said you were proud of me. I am trying Jef, I watch the home videos, just to hear your voice. Our house is so empty, my work phone does not ring as much, I sweare you called me 6 times a day, I miss that. We always needed eachother. I put alot of thought and time into your tomb stone, I am glad it is exactly what you wanted, and you thanked me. You were always so polite. I am now speaking my mind, you always said I was to nice, and people walked all over me. Not any more Jef. You did have a few harsh thing to say about others, I did not repeat them, we will keep that between you and I. I am and always will be so proud of you, you gave everything 1oo%, I know you tried very hard and it was not easy. Thank you for that. Please stop blowing out my light bulbs, you are still costing me money. We had such a special relationship, the love, the trust I cherish all of that. I still spray your clothes, just to smell you, I still sleep in your bed, but you know all this, you told me you are always with me. I did not appreciate you making fun of my fish. I was pretty excited about that fish. Jef, I am not the same person, my life will never be the same. I watch our family, I see Rusty just drift off sometimes, I know what he is thinking. Jake likes driving the car in the cemetary, I laugh at him, he talks about you all the time. Cody is quiet, but always was. I was thinking the other night, I want to know why you called me sea bisquit, I forgot that. I write things down I do not want to forget anything about you. You are still on my mind all the time. You told Alicia you like to see me laugh, I try. I am tired all the time now, this has drained me physically and mentally, I know you would want me to be happy, but I think for the first time you can not have what you want. I am doing what you told me to do with the pennies, thank you, I also know why you told me to look for the halk, there is a nest in the tree at school, I see it almost everyday. You are with me all the time, I need to know that you give me so many signs and they are getting more clear. This will be the last time I write in this it closes out soon, but I will keep writting at home, and talking to you and through Alicia.
I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY

Tim~

I can't believe its been a year since you lost Jeff. What a special son her was. I know how hard it must be to miss him so much, but I KNOW he is watching over you. You were a very special dad to him and you remain a wonderful father to Tyler and Sam, they love and adore you.

I know you have had a couple of rough years, but I hope the future will bring much happiness and joy for you. You deserve the best and I know it will come to you.

Dear Tim,
I must tell you that I think of you often. You have had more than one should have to endure in one year: or for a lifetime actually.
I admire your strength, courage and loving spirit.
I think you are a really good person. Thoughtful, caring, and a wonderful father. Your children are so lucky to have you. I hope that you can go on knowing that there is so much love here for you. One never realizes how much we affect another's life until it is too late. You have touched so many people.
Know that you were so there for Jefrey. You have so many memories that no one can take from you. I hope they will bring you much joy as you realize that although he is gone from here he will remain forever with you.
Love Pat Maio

Tim, I wish there was more I could do to help you through your grief. God knows how you have struggled with this; however, I can say: you have one hell of a good kid/guy for a son and Jefrey, you have one hell of a good guy for a Dad!!!!! With Much Love, your father-in-law, Bill

I want to express my deepest condolences on the death of your son. Having lost my father unexpectedly just a few years ago, I understand the overwhelming sense of loss you must feel, even a year after Jefrey’s death. Although it doesn't seem fair to have a child taken so young, understand that everything happens for a reason. Jefrey was here for a season of your life and, unfortunately, it was his time to leave you. Over time the grief will fade and your heart will be filled with the joy of knowing that your son will always be with you. Always remember the good times you spent with Jefrey and know that he cherished spending time with his father.

Tim, for as long as I have known you, I have been able to see the love you have for all of your children. Jefrey was no exception; he knew that you loved him deeply and appreciated the time the two of you spent together. The next time you catch a big fish, know that it was Jefrey who guided it toward your line.

Hey Buddy~

I know if your dad had any idea how to sign onto the internet, or operate a computer for that matter, he'd be right here leaving you a message today. We love you Jefrey. We miss you and think of you every day. I still have the message you left me on my answering machine, and listen to it regularly. I know you're keeping an eye on your Mom, Rusty, Jake and Cody, they are so strong. As is your Dad. And he appreciates so much hearing from you not too long ago. It gives us all great comfort to know you're still here, safe and happy and that we WILL see you again. We love and miss you Jefrey.

Janice, Rusty, Tamra, Cody & Jake, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Jefrey was a warm hearted person. It didn't matter whether he only saw you once a year or every day of his life, he always greeted you with a warm smile and a hug. He will be sadly missed. I have fond memories of Jef when he was just 3 or 4, climbing up on the sofa, sitting so close to you watching a movie, or climbing up on the chair in the kitchen to eat his bowl of cereal, always smiling and full of love. Jef was a great fisherman, and a good guy. I don't think there has been a single April for as long as I can remember where I didn't run into him out there fishing. After all these years, his outgoing personality had us talking like we saw each other every day. It's not going to be the same without running into him out there from now on. He'll be missed.

Keep the memories always in your heart of Jefrey. But don’t forget to release your sorrows to the white light of the Holy Sprit. You know God will keep your family strong.
Jefrey you find a man named Emerson. My father has had seventeen years now to find all the good hunting and fishing spots. I know he would love to show them to you. He’ll love even more to play a game of golf with you.
Love to all God is always there.
