Jeris Mitchell Obituary


Jeris O. Mitchell, 82, of Mohnton, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 at his residence.

He was the widow of Helen V. Mitchell who died on June 6, 2008. Born in April 3, 1932, in Reading, he was the son of the late William and Catherine (Detrich) Mitchell.

Jeris retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation working at the Grace Mines.

Surviving siblings: sisters: Fay Swiderski, Loretta Kozlowski, Dawn Sedoti, Margaret Lechner and Sylvia Endy, all of Reading, PA. He is also survived by three step-children: Kay Lis, Richard Gaston and Bruce Gaston Sr. Jeris was predeceased by three brothers: Jackie Mitchell, William Mitchell and Frederick Yourkavitch.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, PA. Friends may call on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Twp.
