I have just learned of John's passing and I wish to express my condolences to his family. John did his residency in my OR as I worked as a nurse in Urology. We spent many days talking about fishing. I will always remember John as a man who walked to the beat of his own drum. Rest in peace my friend.

Dr. Henry saved my life 5 yrs ago with emergency surgery when I was in full blown septic shock from my kidneys packed with stones. He preformed countless surgeries every 3 weeks for several months. Without his quick thinking I would of died that night. I now have 2 new grandchildren to enjoy. I recently found out I needed his service again only to find out of his passing. I felt compelled to say thank you to him and his family as he touched many ppl in countless ways.

Dr. Henry treated me for bladder and prostate cancer. 16 years cancer free! After moving to Delaware, I continued to come up to Reading for my yearly checkup, because I had such trust in him. Last year he was pleased to tell me I could go two years before my next checkup. He will be missed as a friend, not only as my doctor. Our hearts go out to his family and his staff. Fred Messerknecht

My sincere condolences to Dr. Henry´s family, friends and coworkers. I was lucky enough to have him as my physician when I was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer 3 years ago. I have so much respect and gratitude for him saving my life. I close my eyes and can still see him walking in the room and delivering the "news" that everyone dreads to hear. He gave me options and he told me "we got this!" Thankfully he was right. I am 3 years cancer free and I owe it all to him. Rest In Peace. You will always be my hero.

Dr Henry was one of the first people I met when I moved to Berks County 29 years ago. I was a young chiropractor out of school and referred him a patient. He took the time to call my office asking how it was I came up with the diagnosis and he was interested as to our training. He was a great doctor, but more a tremendous person. I referred him many patients over the years and everyone was more than pleased. I was shocked to hear of his passing, but more saddened. Deepest condolences to his family and office mates.

John was my roommate in medical school 1984-1985. He was the most consistently upbeat, hilarious, fun guy in those stressful times. We shared a lot of good times back in the day. Farewell, you were a prince among men.

My heart goes out to Jill and her family. Dr. Henry was the best urologist around. When I went to Fox Chase for a 2nd opinion they said he was the best. And the first doctor in Reading I went to referred me to Dr. Henry because he did all the newest medical procedures. I believe he did save my life back in 2003. And has tested me and kept watch ever since. Rest in peace Dr. Henry you will be so missed by all of your patients. You were the best. Thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
