He was the husband of Janelle M. (Miller) Hoffa. They celebrated 41 years of marriage last week on February 5th.
Born in West Reading, on September 10, 1948, he was the son of the late Richard C. and Catherine (Woyden) Hoffa.
He was a 1966 graduate of Wilson High School and was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
John worked for Grosfillex, Inc. for 25 years, and prior to that he owned his own business "Hoffa's Disposal Service."
He was a member of St. Francis DeSales Church, Robesonia.
John was a wonderful husband, father, & pop pop, and will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and co-workers. He was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed fishing every chance he could, but always had time for family, which was his top priority.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jonathan P. Hoffa Sr. and his fiance Louann Shingle, Sinking Spring; a daughter, Katelyn M. Hoffa, Robesonia; a brother, Richard Hoffa, Palm Coast, FL; and six grandchildren. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Bates and Florence Swierzewski.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Mifflin Center for their care and concern during John's illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis DeSales Church, Robesonia, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18th, with Father Mark Wrightson officiating. Interment at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville.

Dear pop pop,
You are sadly missed already, not one day goes by that I don't think about you. I had made the promise of wearing your ring, it has n ot left my kneck for one second. We all miss you very much! life just isn't the same without you, I already miss the little grins you gave me when mom mom or Jon would say something. I promise you that I will be there for mom mom as much as she needs us, so please don't worry at all about her. I want to thank you for excepting my son and I as your family.
