John H. Krick John H. Krick, 79, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Reading, Pennsylvania, died January 1, 2021 in Morton Plant Hospital of Clearwater after a four-month battle with melanoma. Born in West Reading on August 13, 1941, he was a son of the late Herbert B. and Sara (Leinbach) Krick. John was a 1959 graduate of Reading High School and attended Kutztown State College. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. John was self-employed as president of Integrity Association Management Inc., last working in November 2020. A talented pianist, John enjoyed music, the beach, socializing with friends, and supporting Tampa sports teams, most notably the Tampa Rays baseball team. John is survived by his close friend and caregiver Arlene Burns and her family of Clearwater, Florida, his sister Margaret (Krick) Karbel of Cumru Township, sister-in-law Marilyn (Dougherty) Krick of Exeter Township, and brother-in-law Leonard Motze of Lincoln Park. His nephews, nieces, grand- and great-grand nephews and nieces will remember him fondly for his engaging conversations and pride in their accomplishments. In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by partner Michael Ramer in 2011, and by brothers Roger L. Krick and George William “Billy” Krick, sister Joan E. (Krick) Motze, brother-in-law Richard T. Karbel, and stepmother Helen (Ream) Krick. Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759 is in charge of arrangements. At John’s request no memorial service is planned, but contributions in his memory may be made to Dayspring Homes Inc.
