June Meryl Drogo

June Meryl Drogo, 93, passed away Monday, February 20th, 2023, at Arden Courts - ProMedica Memory Care Community, King of Prussia. She was the loving wife of Vincent James Drogo, who died April 25th, 2022. They shared 73 years of marriage. Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Ray Russell and Irene (Burrell) Yeakley. June was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church. She was employed at Nolde and Hurst, Reading, and Bachman's Bakery. June loved bowling and won many trophies over the years. She and her late husband enjoyed roller skating well into their seventies. She loved animals, especially Daisy. June is survived by five children: Marianne Ott, FL; Barbara I. wife of Michael Wall, Reading; Daniel B., husband of Colleen Drogo, FL; Alan S., husband of the late Patricia Drago, Wernersville; and Bruce A., husband of Wendy Drago, Reading. She was the eldest of 8 children. June had many many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. A Mass of Christion Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 10th, 2023, at 11 AM, at Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held the night before, Thursday, March 9th, 2023, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Stitzel Family Funeral Home, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA 19605. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in June's honor to Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508, or to Holy Guardian Angels R.C.
