Kathleen G. (Thornburg) Kohler Kathleen G. (Thornburg) Kohler, 74, of Mohnton, passed away December 31, 2021, at 11:27 AM in the Reading Hospital where she was a patient since Tuesday. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Owen Thornburg and Catherine Louise (Knappenberger) Laundra. She was the loving wife of Charles E. Kohler with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. A 1965 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, she loved her shopping especially at Marshall’s and Home Goods. She enjoyed spending time at the beach (Stone Harbor) with her family, loved her grandchildren and her husband. Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, C. Christopher Kohler, North Jersey, Jonathan A. husband of Candy Kohler, Flying Hills, Stephen O. husband of Stephanie Kohler, Mohnton, daughter-in-law Sharon L. Kohler, Cumru Township, brother Michael husband of Cynthia Thornburg, Reading, sister Karen L. wife of Jack Laundra, Runnemede NJ, 5 grandchildren, Owen C. Kohler, Jack C. Kohler, Miranda G. Kohler, Emily G. Kohler and Abram R. Kohler and her dog Dubbins. She is also survived by her life long best friend Kay Batastini, Kenhorst. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her stepfather Thomas Laundra. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
