She was born in Nagoya, Japan.
She enjoyed in life gardening, cooking and making all kinds of things from dresses to costumes to drapes.
She loved not only animals but nature itself. She loved being a grandmother.
She was a member of the Buddhist community in Virginia.
In addition to her husband, surviving are daughters, Dawn, wife of Robert Massengill, Douglassville, and Janet A., wife of John Joseph, Newport News, Va.
Kazuko currently has three brothers and a sister living in Japan.
She will be sadly missed by her granddaughter, Lauryn.
Services are private at the convince of the family. Burial services will take place in Virginia.
The family request memorial contributions be made in memory of Kazuko to the Peninsula SPCA, 523 J. Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News, VA 23602, or the local chapter of American Cancer Society, 11835 Canon Blvd., Ste. A-102, Newport News, VA 23606. Stanton Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Honey Brook, in charge of arrangements.
