He was the beloved husband of Ruth P. (Wanner) Kohl, who passed away on July 9, 2018. Born in Reading, he was the son of Marcus M. and Estella M. (Reis) Kohl.
During his life he was employed as a truck driver for AAA Trucking in Reading for 15 years retiring in 1987. Kenny
also served proudly in the United States Army during World War II.
He is survived by his son, Gregory L. Kohl, husband of Patricia, of Mohrsville; daughter, Sharon L. Kohl, wife of Deborah Houghton, of Wilmington, Del.; daughter, Donna Doperoy, of Eugene, Oregon; grandchildren, David J. Kohl, Kristin J. (Kohl) Manwiller, wife of Scot Manwiller; great-grandchildren: Jack Riley Manwiller, Eva Rose Manwiller and Gianna Grace Manwiller. Kenny is also survived by his brothers, Henry M. Kohl, Dennis C. Kohl; sister, Estella Hamilton; and nephews, Larry Hamilton and Joey Hoster. He was predeceased by his siblings: Eugene Kohl, James Kohl, Carolyn Hoster, Ethel Kohl.
Funeral service will be held at Bean Funeral Homes, 129 E. Lancaster Ave. Shillington, PA 19607 on Wednesday,
October 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive
relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hillside Christian Church, 3322 East Galen Hall Road, Reinholds, PA 17569.

I was fortunate to talk with cousin Kenny again at the Kohl Reunion this summer. I will always remember him as a kind and gentle soul. My sympathies to Henry and Dennis and the family.
