There is also a niece, Melissa Anne Shears, Jersey City, N.J.
Kevin's family and friends pray that he is at peace now.

I wrote something back when I first learned of Kevin's passing. I will always remember him as funny, kind, and gentle. Always said
Hi and never an unkind word. Just a good person.

So sorry to hear today about Kevin. Although I had not been in contact with him for a long time, I am sure our friendship would pick up right where it left off. I remember him as a good man, fair and patient. He was a good traveling companion; our journeys together for skiing or shows were smoother and safer through his influence. The world is a little smaller today without him.

In school Kevin was the one always smiling and seeing the positive sides of things. Although I lost touch with him over the years, it was nice to hear he remained the same. The world has lost a wonderful person. My thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family

I am saddened to hear of Kevin's passing. I met Kevin through our mutual friend, Dave Hurlbrink, while we were in college. I was lucky enough to spend time with Kevin skiing in Vermont. I will always remember him skiing while listening to the Dead on his walkman. Kevin was a gentle soul who was a pleasure to be around. The world is a poorer place without him in it. My thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family.

We were so very saddened to hear about Kevin. He was a very longtime friend of my sister Patty, which made him a good friend of our entire family. Kevin was always personable, thoughtful, and he had a great sense of humor. I feel as if we lost one of our family members, because he was at so many family functions. We send many prayers and good thoughts to his family, and will remember Kevin as a wonderful human being with a smile on his face.

So sad to hear this news. Kevin always saw the funny side of any adventure. He was very caring and always urging people to "make up" and be friends. He put effort and time into his beliefs and causes and I know he will be missed in the world. We need people like him. Anna West (Ann Ferner).

I am saddened to hear of Kevin's passing. We worked together a few years ago (closer to 18) and have kept in by email and Christmas cards - I will miss his yearly railroad card. I pray you and your family are comforted by your memories of such a wonderful man.

Kevin was a dear friend of mine. We worked together for several years and had some fun(ny)adventures together. He was always a kind hearted guy that I could trust and had a great sense of humor. We shared a mutual love of music and football and I always looked forward to hearing from him.
My prayers are with Kevin, his family and friends. I will miss him dearly.

Max, I know the love we had for each has not been felt by others. We were meant to be; you knew it from the start. It took me longer, but you were patient. My heart is broken, but because you loved me so completely, as I love you forever. Daisy
