He was the husband of Emily R. (Becker) Huey. They were married for 53 years.
Born in Temple, he was a son of the late Samuel M. and Sarah C. (Kaucher) Huey.
He had been employed by Prestolite Battery, Muhlenberg Township, for more than 29 years and was last employed as an assembler for Morgan Corp., Morgantown, retiring in 1995.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.
He was a life member of the Temple and Central Fire Companies and a member of the Blandon, Goodwill, Shartlesville and Marion Fire Companies and the Laureldale Athletic Association and Pike Township Sportsman's Club.
Other survivors include two daughters, Donna R., wife of Barry Werley, Shartlesville; and Kathy A., wife of John Udrea, Reading.
Other survivors include three brothers: Leon Huey, Reading; Leonard Huey, Temple; and Robert Huey, Laureldale; and two sisters, Ruth Harner, Reading; and Esther Keller, Temple.
There are also four grandsons: Shane and Ryan Werley and Shaun and Kyle Udrea; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Werley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Strause.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Milkins Funeral Home Inc., 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, with the Rev. Grant Wickert officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Beckers (St. Peter's) Cemetery, Molltown. Friends may call Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to service time in the funeral home.
