My condolences to Dr.Greenberg's family. I remember the very first I ever met her. She reminded me of my grandmother in every single way. She was a doll. She was very easy going and just had a great attitude and personality. I am so glad I had the please to met a great woman who was one tough cookie. She was a survier and a fighter. God bless you and may you rest in peace. I am blessed to have met you and got to be one who got to give you the care you deserved. Thank you for allowing me to let me take care of you when I got to have you. One of the caregivers who had the pleasure to meet you. Caregiver from Comfort Keepers Heather Moyer

Dr. Louise Greenberg came to my laboratory in the early 1970s as a postdoctoral fellow and later continued there as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Neuropsychopharmacology of the Department of Pharmacology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Greenberg worked in these capacities for about 10 years, concentrating on the effects of age on the neural and hormonal modulation of adrenergic receptors of the brain.
During that time she was one of the most prodigious investigators in the laboratory, publishing some twenty important papers. Her major contributions were in her studies of the effects of age on the responsiveness of adrenergic receptors to various stimuli. Her studies showed that the aging brain not only had a reduced level of adrenergic receptors but, more importantly, had a reduced response to adrenergic neurohormones, as well as a reduced ability to adapt to changes in the external environment. These seminal results help explain, at the most specific molecular level, why aged individuals may not be able to adapt to stress and other alterations in their living conditions.
Louise not only was an outstanding scientist, she also was, in every way, an exceptional individual, having the highest character and integrity. She was also a dear friend to both myself and my wife, whom we both have continued to know and love for several decades. Louise will be sorely missed.

We grew up together from very early years. Went to Camp Innabah and often just harmonized and enjoyed life. We went different ways but have wonderful memories.
