M. Theresa DeLay

M. Theresa (Eagan) DeLay Heaven gained an angel on Friday, May 14, 2021, with the passing of (Mary) Theresa DeLay. She would have celebrated her next birthday May 28. She was greeted with open arms by the friends and family who went before her, especially her parents John and Mary (Moore) Eagan, her mother-in-law Margaret DeLay, and her nephew Doug Nagle. While she worked a few jobs after graduating from Central Catholic High School, the roles that she treasured the most were wife, mother, and then grandmother. She married the love of her life, Roy. He loved and worshipped her, and she loved and reformed him. She loved her family and was always known to be in the kitchen cooking and baking. There was always room for “one more” at her table! Her life changed once she became a grandmother. She was known to all as Nana. She loved and adored all of her children and grandchildren and honored each of themwith fully stocked candy dishes, refrigerators full of favorite drinks, two-dollar bills in every card that she mailed, and her presence at all of their events, especially the many sporting events that they all participated in. She loved watching them play! She will be missed by all who knew her but especially her husband of 56 years Roy; her son Roy and his wife Karen, and their daughters Brooke, Ashleigh, and Faith; her son Michael and his wife Janice, and their children Shawn, Chad and Meghan; and her daughter Michele and her husband Scott Schoener and their children Bradley, fiancé of Kayla Miller, Katelyn and Alexis; as well as her sister (Anna) Nancy Nagle and her husband Dennis; and her niece Tracy Newman, wife of Greg. A celebration to honor her life will be held on Saturday, June 19th, at 11:00 a.m. at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA. A visitation will be held, Saturday, June 19th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers she would want everyone to do something fun with their family!
