M. Fornwalt Obituary

M. Donald Fornwalt, 86, of Bethel, passed away on August 23, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 20, 1935 in Williamsburg, PA, he was a son to the late Daniel J. and Harriet E. (McCall) Fornwalt. He was the husband of Anna M. (McCue) Fornwalt with whom he shared 66 years of marriage. Donald was a 1953 graduate of Saltillo High School and went to work as a Produce Specialist for over 30 years until his retirement in 1997. Donald attended both Calvary Bible Church in Sinking Spring and Grace Brethren Church in Myerstown. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and really enjoyed traveling to yard sales. In addition to his wife, Anna, Donald is survived by his children, Vicky M. Souders, wife of Daryl, of St. Thomas, PA, Douglas D., husband of Darlene, of Bethel, Charles M., husband of Cindi, of Mayo, Fla, Barry D., husband of Donna, of Myerstown, Valerie A. Bashore, wife of Todd, of Bethel, and Annieta L. Bower, wife of Craig, of Bethel. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main Street, Bernville with Pastor Keith Shearer officiating. Burial will take place at Little Swatara Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Bethel.
