Marcia Kadilak Obituary
Marcia L. Kadilak, 82, of West Lawn, passed away on January 11, 2014 at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Washington, DC she was the daughter of the late Clyde W. and LaVon (Dedrick) Hepler.
She grew up in York, PA and graduated from William Penn High School.
Mrs. Kadilak was a 1965 Cum Laude graduate of Misericordia College of Dallas, PA where she received a Bachelor's degree in Biology. She later went on to be a Biology teacher, a rate analysis at GPU, and a management consultant at Gilbert Associates, last working in 1989.
Marcia was a member of The Garden Club of Reading and Embroidery Guild of America.
She was well known for her beautiful quilts, needle work, sewing and gardening.
Marcia was predeceased by her sister, Dorinda G. Arnold of Hallam, PA.
Survivors include her husband, John A. Kadilak of West Lawn; children: Lisa K. Hvizda, wife of John, of Sinking Spring; and Jeff J. Kadilak, husband of Renée, of Baldwinsville, NY; grandchildren: John P. Hvizda, husband of Kristin, of Minneapolis, MN; Alex M. Hvizda, Esq. of Carlisle, PA; Mark A. Hvizda of Washington, DC; Andrea L. Kadilak of Manchester, CT; and Matthew J. Kadilak of Liverpool, NY; great-grandchildren: Jack and Nola Hvizda of Minneapolis, MN.
Services will be at the convenience of the family, the interment will take place at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Bean Funeral Homes of Shillington is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305.
