Marian Gring Obituary

Marian R. Gring, 94, of Morgantown, and formerly of Laureldale, passed away August 31, 2023, in Complete Care, Exeter Township. She was the loving wife of the late Charles J. Gring. Born October 12, 1928 in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Margaret M. (Haggerty) Faller. Marian's first job was as a salesclerk with Pomeroy's Department Store, Reading. She then worked for Bowers Battery before spending many years as head bank teller with Elverson National Bank. Subsequently, she was co-owner, along with Charles, of Gring's Exxon, Morgantown. A very active member of Church of St. Benedict, Brecknock Township, she was a member of their Prime Timers Club, as well as the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her sister: Anna M. Sheipe of Laureldale and many loving nieces and nephews. Marian was preceded in death by her two siblings, Earl F. Faller and Eleanor L. Knight. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Friday, September 15th at 11am at St. Benedict's, 2020 Chestnut Hill Rd, Mohnton, PA 19540. A viewing will be held from 10-11am in the church. Entombment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to: St. Benedict's, at the above address and/or American Legion Post #537, 4499 N.
