Mary Travis Obituary


Mary Louise Travis, 92, of Blandon, passed away on December 10, 2014 at Keystone Villa of Fleetwood.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Warren L. and Elizabeth E. (Clark) Mengel.

Louise was employed as a secretary for DuPont Stock Exchange, and later at Norristown State Hospital. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies.

She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Travis.

Survivors include her children, Dennis K. Moyer, husband of Kathie of Macungie and Douglas K. Moyer, husband of Linda of Exeter. Grandchildren: Douglas Moyer Jr., husband of Lauren, Danielle Blandford, wife of Robert, Amanda Boykin, wife of Chad, Stacia Takach, wife of Michael and Stephen Moyer, husband of Kate; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Epler and Carolyn Wenger.

A service will be held at Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9-10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Laureldale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605.
