I am so sorry for your loss. Matt stayed with me for a few months in Warren, PA in the Summer of 2020. I am an Airbnb Host. He was a very nice young man. I enjoyed his company and had some great conversations with him. He will be missed. My sympathies to you.

Words cannot express my sympathies to the friends and family closest to Matt. I was hall mates with him for one year at Grove City, and will never forget his thoughtfulness, kindness, gentleness, his love of music, art and how incredibly smart he was. He always chose his words carefully, and when he spoke people listened. He left an impact on everyone he encountered. I will never forget my year around the corner from him, and will continue to think of him often.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Matt. I was lucky to experience my first two years of medical school with him. Matt was one of the smartest people I had ever met. He was a great friend, and will always be remembered as a great doctor.
My thoughts and prayers to the Brackbill family.
Matt, we will miss you.

My deepest sympathy to you, Dr. Brackbill, your wife and family. I know you will remember me as your patient and my parents, Bill and Sandie Mills asked me to extend their deepest condolences as your patients...they are not good with computer technology etc. My mother called to tell me and she was so very sad. My heart goes out to you and your wife as a parent myself. Know that my prayers are with you.

spent countless early Saturdays mornings with Matt as my stand partner growing up & as mentioned here, he was indeed an incredibly talented violinist, but also incredibly humble and kind, and these traits together are extremely rare and hard to find— and were evident even in our horrific ability to make small talk as our teenage selves.
Rest in the deepest peace, Matt - all my love & strength to the Brackbills.

I enjoyed spending time with Matt, I trusted him, and he will not ever be forgotten by me. He was an amazing person who would help his friends when needed, was able to give solid advice, and I truly will always miss him. I will carry my memory of him for the rest of my life, and I wish I was able to see him again at least once. My condolences to his family, he was a great guy and was taken too soon. I included a picture I took when we were still doing trivia nights on Thursday before COVID. I wanted the family to be able to see this picture (taken Oct 3, 2019) and have it for themselves. As I will always remember him this way.
To Matt: I will miss trivia nights, hangouts at each others place during the end phases of COVID Rest In Peace man, you’ve helped me more than you will ever know, and I just wish I was able to see and talk to you again. I wanted to hang out the weekend of the 1st but things don’t always work out, but I wish we were able to. But like I said when you couldn’t, “maybe next time”.

We grieve the loss of Matt. He and I were both premed at GCC. We always did our physics homework together. Over the years, we kept in touch about medical school happenings - last texting this November about the crazy Zoom interview process for residencies. I will miss Matt! My husband and I will keep the Brackbill family in our prayers.

It was an honor to know Matt from our time at Grove City College. I appreciate the thoughtful way in which he discussed difficult topics and the grace that he showed through hard times. Trips that we took to West Virginia and Atlantic City hold some of my fondest memories from that period. I'll carry his memory always.
