Michael Barrasso Obituary

Michael Angelo Barrasso, 92, passed away September 30, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late May Jan (Tylka) Barrasso. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Rose (Gabrielli) Barrasso. Michael was a graduate of the former Reading Catholic School in 1946. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving his country during the Korean War. He worked 37 years at Glidden Paints before retiring in 1992. He was passed Vice-President and past Trustee of Paint Makers Union #1309. He also held various offices in the Mohnton Lions Club. Surviving are his children: Michael Barrasso, and his wife Janet of Waynesboro, PA; Michele Negri of Sinking Spring, PA; and Marcy Barrasso and her companion Larry Mindler of New Holland, PA. Also surviving are grandchildren: Marsha Shimp of Waxham, NC; Justin Barrasso and his wife Sabrina of Frederick, MD; Jennifer Kline of Sinking Spring, PA; great-grandchildren: Brandon Shimp, Riley Shimp and Genevie Barrasso. Private graveside services will be held at the Mohnsville Cemetery in Mohnton, PA.
