Michael A. Folk

Michael A. Folk, 66, passed away Monday, December 5th, 2022, in his Cumru Twp. residence. Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Malcolm G. Folk and Suzanna D. (Oswald) Strickland. Michael was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and McCann School of Business. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. His last stop was in Seattle where he ended up staying for 44 years. Michael was later employed as a Paralegal for many years. He retired to Berks County to be with his family. He loved to travel the world and was always a positive and friendly person. He is survived by a sister, Kathleen, wife of Craig Sonnen. Other survivors include two nieces, Rebecca, wife of Timothy McCarty, and their children, Hunter and Finnigan, and Abby, wife of Jason Gehris, and their children, Laila and Jerome, two nephews, Jay Folk, Jr., and John Folk, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends he considered as family in Seattle. He was predeceased by one brother, J. Christopher Folk, Sr.. The family will be having a "Celebration of Life" - Spring 2023. Berks County Cremations has been entrusted with the arrangements.
