Born in Terre Hill in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Suzanna (Wenger) Shirk.
Nancy was employed for many years as a supervisor and vamper for the shoe factory in Bernville, and then went on to work for 10 years at Post-Precision Casting in the Setup Department.
Nancy was an avid bingo player and had a great love for gardening, flowers, arts and crafts, ceramics, cards, and canning. She also possessed an impressive shot glass collection.
Her true love though was for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she loved dearly.
Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Carl H. Eisenhower of Bernville; children: Steven Eisenhower and wife, Christina, of Shartlesville; Robert Eisenhower and wife, Brenda, of Bernville; Kevin Eisenhower and wife, Lisa, of Mohrsville; and Carl Eisenhower Jr. and wife, Linda, of Bernville; grandchildren: Steven Jr., Chad, Clint, Scott, Mark and Todd Eisenhower and Stacy Weller; great-grandchildren: Logan, Heidi, Julie, Mckayla, Alanna and Haleigh Eisenhower and Brayden Weller; a great-grandson on the way, Brandt Eisenhower; brothers: Elmer Jr., Raymond and Richard Shirk; sister, Salinda Wagner; brother-in-law, Donald Rutter; and the two cats she cared for, Peaches and Katie.
Nancy is preceded in death by brothers: Lloyd, Clarence, and Lester Shirk and by sister-in-law, Mary Rutter.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12th at 11 a.m. in Friedens Church Shartlesville, 28 Wolf Creek Road, Bernville, with Rev. Inge Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Friedens Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friedens Church, P.O. Box 366, Shartlesville, PA 19554.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville, PA.
