Norma Wien Obituary


Norma May (Scheifley) Wien, 97, of the Highlands at Wyomissing passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, July 15, 2012.

She was the loving wife of the late G. Willard Wien.

Born in Pottstown on June 18, 1915, Norma was a daughter of the late Norman W. and Anna E. (Schlipf) Scheifley.

She was a member of the Lincoln Park United Methodist Church.

Norma and Willard belonged to Porter's Lake Hunting and Fishing Club and were members of the Berkshire Country Club. Her favorite pastimes were golfing and bowling. Norma enjoyed traveling and traveled to Bermuda, France, Hawaii and Germany.

Surviving are a stepson, George E. Wien, and his wife, Natalie Coldren, of Plano, TX; two stepgrandsons, Dr. Todd M. Wien of Plano and Craig M. Wien of Redmond, WA; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Norma was predeceased by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012, at Auman's Inc., Funeral Home, 390 W. Never-sink Rd., Reading. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reading. www.aumansinc.com
