Philip Scarff Obituary

Philip LeRoy Scarff Jr., 84, Reading, died June 5, 2008, in Winchester, Mass.

He was the beloved husband of Janice Carico Scarff.

He was the devoted father of Philip Scarff III, and wife, Megha Joshi; and Carol Hawkins, and husband, Tom.

He was the loving brother of Thomas Scarff, Evelyn Fox and Martha Frost.; and grandfather of Rasika, Asavari, and Geetanjali Scarff.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Smith's Chapel United Methodist Church, 3111 Churchville Road, (Route 22), Churchville, Md. Burial will be in Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1645 E. Churchville Road, (Route 22), Bel Air, Md. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Smith's Chapel. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., preceded by a visitation at 10 a.m., in St. Mark's United Church of Christ, 211 W. Greenwich St., Reading.

Those who desire may contribute to Alzheimer's Disease Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1700, Chicago, IL 60601. Memory tributes may be sent to the family at mccomasfuneralhome.com.
