He was the husband of Rosemary R. (Graten) Emrich.
Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Russell E. Emrich Sr. and Elizabeth (Arndt) Emrich.
He worked for Boiler Engineering, Bechtel Power, Leighton Industries and Potts Welding.
Emrich was a 1952 graduate of Phoenixville High School.
He was a member of Baptist Church of Phoenixville, International Management Council and Chester County FEMA. He was a dedicated volunteer for Phoenixville Baptist Church Food Bank.
He had been a Little League and Babe Ruth coach and umpire. Emrich was also a Cubmaster and Boy Scout leader of Troop 139, Phoenixville.
He was an avid golfer, recording three holes-in-one.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four siblings: Cheryl, wife of Peter Johnson, Newport; Raymond Jr., and wife, Jennifer Emrich, Upper Providence; Chrisanne, wife of Mark Katkovcin, Whitehall; and Russell, and wife, Kelli Emrich, Reading.
Other survivors include three siblings: Robert Emrich, and wife, Eileen, Wilmington, Del.; Richard Emrich, and wife, Doris, Dover, N.J.; and Carol, wife of Carl Burkhart, Phoenixville; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Emrich, Phoenixville.
There are also 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Huston; and a brother, Russell Emrich.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Monday at 11 a.m. in Baptist Church of Phoenixville, Church and Gay streets, Phoenixville, with the Rev. Brent D. Miller officiating. Burial will be private in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spring City. Relatives and friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Church of Phoenixville, P.O. Box 226, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, is in charge of arrangements.
