Raymond Reinhard Obituary

COLUMBUS: Raymond B. Reinhard, age 92, of Columbus, formerly of Pickerington and Canal Winchester, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday May 21, 2009 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.
He was a Fairfield County native, and was born September 8, 1916 in Canal Winchester to the late Elmer F. and Mary (Smith) Reinhard.
Also preceded in death by beloved wife, Wanda V. Reinhard in 1999; brother, Robert Reinhard; sister-in-law, Ruth Reinhard.
He attended The Ohio State University, College of Agriculture and was engaged in farming in Violet Township for many years. He was retired from the W.R. Grace & Co., Ag. Chemical Group in sales and distribution for 25 years, and retired in 1982. A member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, Pickerington and former member of David Lutheran Church, Canal Winchester. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, Raymond was also a life-member of V.F.W., Canal Winchester; member of the Columbus Maennerchor; past member of the Pickerington Lions Club and the Greenville Lodge of Elks.
Survived by daughter, Janice L. Reinhard, Pickerington; son, Jeffrey R. (Carol) Reinhard, Plain City; granddaughter, Amy (Thad) Apel, Hilliard; great-grandson, Hayden Jeffrey Apel; nieces, Judy (Karl) Grube, Linda Brown and Bobbie Lesser; many other nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Friends may visit Tuesday May 26, 2009 from 3-8 p.m. at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. North (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, OH. 43147. Funeral service and celebration of life will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Epiphany Lutheran Church, 268 Hill Rd. North in Pickerington where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastors Tim Kuenzli and Donald Bachman officiating. Interment to follow at Union Grove Cemetery, Canal Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ministries of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Raymond's memory.
