Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late June M. (Swinehart) and Reginald William Scheifley.
Reg was a 1960 graduate of Daniel Boone High School. He was employed by Penske Leasing for 26 years as a mechanic and also was a hobby farmer for 34 years.
He served in the Navy during the Cuban Crisis. He was a member of Berean Bible Church. Reg was a life member of the NRA, PA Trappers Assoc. and Boyertown Rod and Gun Club. He was also a member of the American Legion,
National Trappers Assoc. and the Skyline Drive Corvette Club.
He loved travel, cruising and the great outdoors.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Michael A. Scheifley, of Boyertown; one brother, James Scheifley,
husband of Barbara; one sister, Margaret, wife of Daniel Kennedy; three grandsons: Michael, Matthew and Tate; and four granddaughters: Tira, Devan, Haley and Autumn.
He was predeceased by one son, William; and one
brother, David.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Morrell Funeral Home Inc., 124 W. Philadelphia Avenue,
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Berean Bible Church Memorial Fund, 2675 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
