Hey Brother! I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. Actually, there's never a day I don't. I know your with all of us each and every day so you know exactly what's going on in our lives. Sometimes I think so much about you, I can't even begin to believe your gone. Its as if I feel like calling you and your suttle voice will trend into loudness and laughter.....things I miss about you so much. I know that when its my time, you'll be there waiting for me; showing me all the beautiful things you've experienced and seen. We love and miss you Rick....things just aren't the same without you.

Happy Birthday Rick! I hope you heard what I said to you earlier today. I was reflecting on the day when so many people came to say good bye to you and how you moved, touched and embraced so many people throughout the years and throughout the community. I can only imagine how big the crowd is there on the other side and how they have been captivated by your beautiful smile and warm personality. Know that you are thought of everyday by so many us here. I love and miss you Rick.

My Dearest Brother.
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I look at your picture each day and wonder how you're doing. As I go through troubling times, I look at your smile and into your eyes as if you are telling me that it's all going to be just fine.
You have always been the happy brother who made us laugh and cry. Your heart was bigger then ever. You and your wife gave birth to beautiful children, You should see them! You would be proud! You need to know that God is doing for us what we couldn't do for ourselves! You are truly missed little brother, but deep doen inside, you're still in my heart. Pls watch over me!.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over,
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Are you serving your purpose here on earth?
Rick did he touched thousands of lives with his wonderful smile and his warm heart and laughter. Making you feel so Special at all times!
God grant him a gift some will never have to love, unconditional.
To sing like no one is listening, Love like you’ve never been hurt,
And Live like it’s Heaven on Earth
God has given us morning, brightness, and sun, laughter to share, and work to be DONE! We are all here on earth for a Reason and a Purpose and that is to make a Difference.
Rick made a difference!
There are three types of people in this world;
People that make things happen
People that watch things happen
And People that wonder what ever happen.
Rick was the type of person that Made Things Happen! He became a Man, Father, and a Husband at a very Young age. Always striving to do the best he could for his family!
Always so proud of His Boys & His Princess Nina!
He loved unconditional and spread his love among his wife, children, family and friends. Always willing to help, making the Best out of the Worse situations. Inspiring people, touching there lives and making them feel good about themselves.
Always remember God has given us prayer, with its wonderful power to lighten our hearts in troublesome times. He has given us rainbows, flowers, and song, and the hands of our dear ones to help us along. He has given us blessings to brighten our way. We won’t say good bye we will say farewell, may you rest in Peace!
We Love You! & Will Never Forget You! Rick
Remember every day is a gift from God! Make a difference while you are here!

My little brother was alot of things to a lot of people...a good man, a good brother, and a wonderful son. But most importantly, he was a great husband to Iris and a great father to his kids. I will always be proud of him for raising his family with respect and honesty. As his older brother, I wish I had told him how much I love and respect him. Rest in peace my little brother and I wait for the day that you will show me the way home.

Iris,
I just recently found out about Rick's passing. I found it hard to believe that it was really Rick they were referring to. My sincerest condolescences go out to you and your children. When I think of Rick, his big smile comes to mind. I've always admired your loyalty to your husband and family, therefore, I can not begin to imagine the pain you've had to endure. May God provide you the strength and courage that only he knows how to give in your time of sorrow and may you and your children find peace in knowing that Rick loved you all so dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with your family!

Dear Osorio family:
I went to Rick's viewing and was NOT surprised to see the line was never ending before the service even started! This guest book is another testament to how this wonderful man touched SO MANY lives and left so many good memories. Rick you are an inspiration on living life to its fullest! Your message of love for your friends and family will live forever. I know you are teaching the angels above how to REALLY play basketball and not accepting any excuses. May your family find strength during this rough time, especially during the holidays, and comfort in knowing you're still watching over them.. love, Aida

My thoughts and prayers go out to Rick's family and friends. When I heard the news it was very hard to believe. Over the past couple of days I've tried to think of ways Ricky influenced the lives of us that were around him from Tyson-Schoener to Reading High and beyond. We share many fond memories and I hope his family will continue to smile when thinking of him as his friends always will. I wonder how many people remember when Rick broke his arm in the sandbox at 3rd & Spruce and it took so long to heal that he learned to quarterback and shoot jumpshots with his left hand. It was so crazy how nice he was on the court that some of us wished we had broken our arms too. God Bless. Dez

To the Osorio Family;
I went to Reading High School and graduated with Rick in 1985. I have been in the US Marine Corps and away from Reading since then. Exactly one week prior to his passing, I was back home in Reading for the first time in over 20 years and I ran into Rick and we talked. Although we spoke about many things in the past, present and future, two things stuck in my head. The first is that I should call him Rico and not "Ricky", and the other is the importance of family and the love he had for his family. Especially his children! Before he left, he gave me his Barber business card, we exchanged phone numbers and we talked about him visiting me in Cali. I flew back to California on Dec 2nd and on Dec 8th I received a call. When I heard the news I had to ask; Ricky who? Because I couldn't believe it was my friend "Rico"! who I just had a beer with a week ago. To Rico: The chances of us ever meeting like we did were slim to none. Everything happens for a reason. I believe you opened my eyes to things I needed to know and I feel it’s my duty to pass on to your family the great things you spoke and feel about them. Your spirit did make it here to Cali through the words you spoke to me back in Reading. I will never forget your words about the LOVE AND IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY. Rest in Peace Rico you will be missed and always remembered.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Osorio Family. Rick was a great man. I just saw him on Thanksgiving while visiting from Florida. We had alot of great memories school, work, and at the baseball games.
May god grant strength to the Osorio Family during this time.

The world has lost the greatest smile....Rick, you were one and only..from the old days growing up on the block to growing with our own families, you could always make something funny out of nothing.
