Richard Kozlowski

Richard J. Kozlowski, 73, of Exeter Township passed away peacefully on Thursday morning Aug. 4, 2011, in the Berkshire Center, Exeter Township, where he was a guest since May 2010. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. (nee Jones) Kozlowski.

Born in Reading, Pa., on Jan. 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph and Gladys (Johnson) Kozlowski. After Joseph's passing, Richard was raised by Kasmir and Rose Kozlowski.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy and a 1955 graduate of Reading High School, he also earned an associates degree in business from Moore Park Community College. Richard had been employed by the former Western Electric Co. as a process analyst, an actor and lighting consultant for movies in California, and also worked for Litton Industries in the aeronautical division and the Reading and Orlando, Florida, addresses of AT&T Corporation.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Elizabeth, are one son, Daric S. Kozlowski of Atlanta, Ga.; and two sisters, Betty Moser, and Jean, wife of Raymond Solt, both of Allentown. There are also four grandchildren: Megan, Sean, Eric and Corwin, all of Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral service is private at the convenience of the family on Monday, Aug. 8, 2011. Friends may call at Cramp Funeral Home Inc., 934 Centre Avenue, Reading, on Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. to pay their respects. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
