He was the husband of Doris Mae (Grim) Ori and was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth (Cilaberti) Ori, who died in 1994.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Arthur P. and Angeline (Minorina) Ori.
He was a machine operator for 40 years for Rockwell International of Wyomissing.
He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola RCC, Sinking Spring.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was also a member of the VFW of Sinking Spring.
Surviving are a stepson, Gary M. Heckrote, Douglassville; and a stepdaughter, Denise M. Day, Birdsboro.
There are also 15 grandchildren: Jon, Richard, Angelia, Ashley, Christopher, Melody, Tammy, Matthew, Gary, Kimberly, Dennis, Felicia, Jonathan, Lee and Nicole; and six great-grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by two daughters, Angela Ori and Marcia L. Foster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola RCC, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to Mrs. Doris M. Ori, 421 Green Valley Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Dengler Funeral Home Inc., 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, is in charge of the arrangements.

Aunt Doris,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your husband Richard. I know the two of you had many enjoyable times together, and you deserved every moment of them. I pray that the wonderful times you had with Richard may help to erase some of the painful memories of your past. All my love and sympathy.
