Born in Reading, he was a son of the late James E. and Elizabeth (Kofroth) Zambito.
He was employed for 10 years as a sander by Quaker Maid Kitchens, until retiring. He previously was employed for two years in the shipping department of Elite Sportswear, and for 15 years as a truck driver and machine operator by Pennsylvania Optical.
Surviving are three sons: Jeffrey L. Zambito, Philadelphia; Keith A. Zambito, Reading; and Jamie L. Zambito, Mount Penn.
Other survivors include four brothers: James Zambito, Muhlenberg Township; Joseph Zambito, Kutztown; Dennis Zambito, Robesonia; and Ronald Zambito, Oley.
There also are two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; and his former wife, Ruth L. (Blankenbiller) Zambito, Reading.
He was predeceased by a brother, Elroy Zambito.
Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Auman Funeral Homes, Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. www.theocauman.com
