Robert Brode Obituary
Mr. Robert W. Brode, 89, passed away March 22 in Maidencreek Place, Reading.
He was the widower of Erma (Kistler) Brode, who passed away in 2004. Robert was born on a farm in Locust Valley, Barnesville, Pa., a son of the late Elmer and Lillian (Deeble) Brode.
Prior to retiring, he worked over 45 years for Conestoga Telephone. He was a member of the Birdsboro Lions Club and was at one time a member of the Shoemakersville
Water Authority.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fly fishing and hunting. He was also a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Bowser, and her husband, Ronald, of Shoemakersville; a son, Gary, and wife, Lupe, of Fayetteville, N.C.; a brother, Charles, of Fla.; and a sister, Doris Dominic, of Morrisville, Pa.; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a son, David.
The funeral will be Saturday, April 1st, at 11:00 a.m.,
Lamar Christ Funeral Home, Hometown. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. till the time of service in the funeral home.
