He was the husband of Elizabeth "Betty" J. (Kline) Cassellia.
Born in New York, New York, he was a son of the late James A. and Sophia (Chiapanni) Cassellia.
Robert was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a truck driver until retiring in 2000.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Robert C. Cassellia Jr., Bohemia, NY; and David C. Cassellia, and his wife, Leah, Hellertown; two daughters: Barbara A. (Cassellia) Dooley, wife of Thomas, Hellertown; and Dawn M. Cassellia, Lindenhurst, NY; five grandchildren: Thomas, Desiree, Claire, Kira and Hope; and one brother: James A. Cassellia, and his wife, Joan, Bellmore, NY.
Robert was predeceased by a sister: Joyce Cassellia.
Services will be on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. from Leibensperger Funeral Homes Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
